The waves on Texel are perfect for learning. We are happy to teach you all about surfing during our surfing lessons. Our surf lessons are safe, personal and of high quality, we use the latest surfboards and wetsuits. Do you want to surf?
Surfcourse Texel
A surf lesson takes 1.5 hours and is entirely about you! We love to give surf lessons with personal attention and listen to what you want to learn. The teacher will get into the water as well, so that he can help you up close.
During the first surf lesson you learn to go along with the waves and how to stand up. First you will get a wetsuit, and we will practice on the beach. Then you will go into the waves with your surfboard. Surfing lessons are possible from the age of 6, of course a swimming diploma is required
Our surfschool on Texel
The surfschool is located on the beach at Paal 19 in De Koog. The ideal location for surfing, because the waves break perfectly here.
At the surf school are changing rooms and you can take a shower after surfing. For those who prefer to watch instead of surfing, you are very welcome as well! We have an indoor and outdoor space where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or something else.
Prices
How much for a surf lesson?
A surf lesson costs € 25 per person for 1.5 hours. This includes the use of wetsuit and surfboard. The price for the surf lesson is the same for everyone and not age related. of course it is nice to be together with your peers. We take this into account as much as possible.
Together in a group
Do you book with more than one person? Then you are always in the same group with whom you booked. Because that is the most fun!

Do you want to take multiple surfing lessons? Then we will gladly reward you with a discount! We have special tickets for 3, 5 or 10 surfing lessons You can use this card for the entire season. So you don’t have to do all the lessons at once. This special card is for 1 person only.
We understand that you first want to try out a surf lesson before you buy a card for 3,5 or 10 lessons. That is no problem! We will put the first lesson also on the card so that you will never pay too much.
Payment of the surf lesson
A surf lesson can easily be booked online. You can immediately see which day and time is avaliable. Online payment is possible with Ideal, credit card, Bancontact, Sofort and Belfius.contact, Sofort en Belfius
If you prefer to pay at the surfschool, then that is also possible. You can pay there with cash or card Almost all cards are accepted. Including credit card, Vpay and foreign cards.

Opening hours surfschool
With good weather and good waves we are often also open in the evenings. You can always call to see if we are there. Our motto is: “when the waves show you must go”!

By car
There are two parking options nearby:
By bike
You could easily get to the surf school by bike.
Follow the signs for Paal 19 into the woods untill the dunes. You then drive over the Kogerstrand campsite. On the dune you see a large sign of the Paal 19 pavilion. Don’t put the bike there, but bike to the next dune entrance on the left. We are located right behind this dune entrance on the beach.
